Dr. Albert M. Morier, O.D.
Dr. Morier started practicing in Rotterdam in 1983. He is a 1975 graduate of SUNY at Geneseo in Biology and a 1982 Honors Graduate of SUNY College of Optometry in New York City.
Dr. Morier finished a Master’s in Biology from Geneseo in May, 2008. He lectures all over the United States on Dry Eye therapy, contact lenses and treating the visually impaired. He is a lecturer for Alcon Pharmaceuticals, Allergan Pharmaceuticals, Genzyme Pharmaceuticals and Vistakon contact lenses. Dr. Morier sits on the State Board of Optometry within the NY Sate Education Department/ Office of the Professions. He completed an internship in Low Vision Care at the New York Association for the Blind, The Lighthouse, in Manhattan. Dr. Morier is Chair of the Low Vision Committee of the New York State Optometric Association and is the Medical Consultant to the New York State Commission for the Blind and Visually Handicapped. Since 1990, Dr. Morier has worked 2 days per week in the Cornea office of the Lion’s Eye Institute in Slingerlands. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Albany Medical College. His most important accomplishments, with his college sweetheart Nancy, are his four daughters and 6 grandchildren.
